2023 Elections: Buhari Congratulates Tinubu, Says He’s ‘The Best Person For The Job’  The former governor, 70, came out tops in 12 of Nigeria’s 36 states, and secured significant numbers in several other states to claim the highest number of votes.   President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the winner of the just concluded presidential election, Bola Tinubu, saying that he is best man for the job.  The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the election early on Wednesday morning, defeating main challengers Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party. Reacting to the results, Buhari said, “I congratulate His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory. Elected by the people, he is the best person for the job.
